What an amazing week we had for Sports week this year:
Red Class spent a full day at Carlton Lodge participating in the High and Dry activities which included – High ropes, zip wire, problem solving and the climbing wall. The children were so brave and worked really hard encouraging each other.
Red Class spent their second day at Carlton Lodge participating in the Wet and Wild activities which included bush craft, archery, canoeing and raft building. Again all of the children threw themselves into the activities – some got very wet and some ate huge edible bugs!!
On Day 2, Yellow Class, Green Class and Blue Class were also very lucky to take part in a workshop with Butterfly Dance School.
On day 3 we were lucky to have the Rock-it climbing company and all of the children in the school had the opportunity to climb the climbing wall and try their hand at archery, they all did exceptionally well in very cold and drizzly weather. Also in the afternoon Green, Red and Blue Classes each had an inspirational session of Tai Chi with Mr Williamson.
Day 4 / 5
Unfortunately sports day was postponed until Day 5. However sports day turned out to be a fantastic day for both key stage 1 and key stage 2. All of the children were absolutely great with lots of cheering and support and 100% effort in all that they did. Congratulations to Joe Tosh and Louisa Tann who won the trophies for the Year 6s with the most sports day wins and to the Puffins who were the winning House Team on the day. What a fantastic end to a happily exhausting week!!
